Covid-19 FAQ

We are open and baking for takeaway, Click & Collect and home delivery. Please bear with us while we work to serve you as quickly and safely as we can.

What’s changed in my bakery?

NHS Track and Trace is Available for when we are able to welcome you back to sit in again. When allowed we please ask that you only sit inside with family and friends that are in your household or support bubble. If you are sitting outside, please limit groups to 6 in line with new Government regulations and keep 1m+ apart.

We’re cashless, and we ask that you respect social distancing and if you feel unwell with COVID-19 symptoms that you please pop back in when you feel well again; please follow the floor markings and space apart from others when queuing to ensure social distancing while visiting us. We’ve sign-posted waiting areas outside of our bakeries for takeaway and Click & Collect.

Can I order online for Click & Collect or home delivery?

Please place your order online, give us 48 hours to bake and we’ll deliver to your door or have your order bagged and waiting for you. Please visit our online menu here.

What is your policy on team wearing face covering?

According to UK government guidance all of our GAIL’s team is required to wear face coverings unless exempt for underlying health reasons. e.g. for underlying health reasons that may not always be obvious.

Similarly, unless exempt, customers are required to wear a face coverings at all times at GAIL’s, until we can eat in, then please only take the face covering off while you are eating and drinking.

How are we keeping our teams and customers safe?

We’ve changed the way we work and completed risk assessments to ensure both our teams and customers are kept safe. We’re washing our hands and sanitising contact surfaces more frequently and checking daily that our teams, and their families, are fit and well.

Are you using track and trace?

After lockdown and depending on the Tier System, if you are enjoying your food or drinks whilst sitting in our bakeries, we are asking you to please register your details with our Track and Trace, in accordance with government guidance, using the QR code on our bakery windows. If you have no iPhone (pesky batteries dying for instance) please fill in the data on the ipad, this is not accessible by our teams. Your data will only be accessed by authorised GAIL’s personnel and will not be used for any purpose other than the NHS Track and Trace scheme unless explicit consent is given by you.
