Covid-19 FAQ

From the 12th of April we are open for outside dining and will continue to bake for takeaway, Click & Collect and home delivery. Please bear with us while we work to serve you as quickly and safely as we can.

NHS Track & Trace

NHS Test & Trace is required from 12th April for all outdoor dining orders. Please check in by scanning the QR codes we’ll have on our doors, till counters and tables. Please help us all stay safe by following government guidelines, limiting tables outside (and inside from 17th May – tbc) to groups of 6, 2 households or support bubble. If you don’t have a smart phone (pesky batteries dying for instance), please let us know and we’ll ask you to pop your data into our iPads, which we’ll only use for the NHS Track & Trace scheme; this will not be used for any other purpose.

Who needs to check in?

Everyone in your group over the age of 16.

What else may have changed in my bakery?

We’re cashless, and we ask that you respect social distancing by spacing if there are any queues. If you feel unwell, please pop back in when you feel better.

We’ve changed the way we work and we complete risk assessments to ensure both our teams and customers are kept safe. We’re washing our hands and sanitising contact surfaces more frequently and checking daily that our teams, and their families, are fit and well.

What is GAIL’s policy face coverings?

In line with UK government guidance, all of us at GAIL’s are required to wear face coverings unless exempt for underlying health reasons.

Similarly, unless exempt, customers are required to wear face coverings at all times in GAIL’s. If you’re eating at one of our tables from 12th April, please only remove the face covering off while you are eating and drinking.

Can I order online for Click & Collect or home delivery?

Yes! Please place your order online, give us 48 hours to bake and we’ll deliver to your door or have your order bagged and waiting for you.
