We’re celebrating our Baker’s Dozen Birthday this summer, marking 13 years since we first fired up our ovens in Hampstead. We’ll be kicking off with a weekend of celebrations on 7th & 8th July in the bakery, so be sure to pop along and celebrate with us. Don’t forget to keep eyes peeled out in the neighbourhood too – we’ll be cycling around with cookies and loaves.
In honour of our Baker’s Dozen birthday, we’ll be giving 13 lucky customers a chance to win a year’s supply of our bread. We’ll be randomly selecting winners from competitions on social media, GAIL’s newsletter subscribers, and from entering the competition on our website. Winners will be chosen on Monday 3rd September.
A birthday isn’t a birthday without cake, so to celebrate ours, we’re baking two of our favourite cakes in miniature form. Reflecting on the past 13 years, we’ve picked our 13 most iconic bakes and wrapped them up together for you to order online for delivery or collection. The box includes a range of our customers’ most loved bakes, from the Cinnamon Buns and Brownie Fingers through to our French Dark Sourdough, available to order from 5th July.

You have the fun of arranging your flowers, with helpful tips from Freddie to guide you along the way
Join us and Freddie’s Flowers for an evening of flower arranging, freshly baked nibbles and wine in our Putney bakery on 9th May 2018 from 7pm.
The Freddie’s Flowers team will teach you how to create the perfect bouquet, with styling and flower care tips too, and you’ll get to take your arrangement home with you.

We’re excited to be returning to the London Coffee Festival from 12th – 15th April this year at the Old Truman Brewery. Find us at the La Marzocco True Artisan Café on Saturday 14 April from 10am – 1pm where we’ll be serving our signature drink, ‘Oh my Darling Clementine’ made from Single Origin coffee from Burundi, Rude Health Brown Rice Milk, clementines, chilli, date syrup, juniper berries and wild flower honey.
The Festival will feature over 250 artisan coffee and gourmet food stalls, tastings and demonstrations from world-class baristas, interactive workshops, street food, coffee-based cocktails, live music, DJs, art exhibitions and more.
We are collaborating with eco pop-up, Canteen No.4, to create The Waste Series at our Bloomsbury bakery on 11th – 12th April.
With sustainability at their core, Canteen No.4 is a London based eco pop-up that aims to collaborate with emerging creatives and artisans to cast light on environmental issues within the food chain.
On the theme of waste, this April, Canteen No.4 will be creating a four course meal, shared around one table. The menu will be created using surplus food from our bakeries and suppliers, accompanied by discussions on the subject of waste from the producers. A percentage of proceeds will be donated to a London based food waste charity to help tackle the on going fight against food waste in the city.

We are hosting Easter baking classes for little bakers in selected bakeries for the week commencing 19th March 2018. Please see below for class dates and participating bakeries, all classes will start at 4pm.

For our third annual partnership with the Kew Gardens’ Orchids Festival, we have created a limited edition cake in celebration of this year’s theme: Thailand.
We are delighted to bake for Kew, an iconic destination, for a third year running. We admire Kew’s commitment to curating and sharing knowledge with Londoners, not least in such a beautiful way. Our Passionfruit Cake was inspired by this year’s theme, the flavours of Thailand.
This limited edition Passionfruit Cake, made with passionfruit, coconut and yoghurt, will be available from 25th January – 28th February in Abbeville Road, Barnes, Chiswick, Fulham Road, High Street Kensington, Hove, King’s Road, Northcote Road, Parsons Green, Pimlico, Queen’s Park, Richmond, Soho and Wimbledon.
